Progress Report
Tonight I put the last strokes on the canvas and added my initials in the corner. A large painting of the full moon rising while the sun was setting, based on the photos in the previous post, is DONE!! It will be in my show that goes up on Monday evening. A crude collage of tree shapes and a sketch I "doodled" over on Picnik helped me get started on the 24" x 36" inch canvas. Here is a view from ten days ago. Tomorrow I'll shoot the moon!

Our Magnificent Melting Mountain
At SAM today, seeing paintings of Mt. Rainier from the 1800's, we realized how much the glaciers have retreated in the last 100 years. Nevertheless, it's not going away any time soon.
"Red, Right, Return"
Sailing up Rich Passage one beautiful day, we suddenly caught a whiff of something unmistakeable.
Seal breath!
