Splish splash, I was takin' a bath . . .

Frigid temperatures lately mean birds have no drinking water, so I've been helping them out with water bowls on the deck.  Every morning I swap the frozen for fresh.  Look what those silly birds did with their nice clean drinking water yesterday!

I startled a tiny bird
It seemed to cower and cry
Back with camera in minutes

High rise buildings of downtown Seattle outflanked by Mt. Rainier, seen from our deck this morning. I was out there in my bathrobe watching the light changes and when the hummingbirds started coming to the feeder their iridescent colors and red patches were brilliant. Didn't get any good photos, though, in the dim light.
