Two Brave Women

I loved these two books. For years I remembered everything about these mesmerizing tales of survival in hostile environments, everything but the titles and authors, but now thanks to the wonders of the internet, all is revealed. The other is a true story about paddling a small inflatable kayak all the way to Timbuktu. In another of her books she admits her friends think she has a death wish, since she takes such horrendous risks in her adventure travels. I have to agree.
