Really Ripe



They started to spoil before I could finish the painting so I made tomato sauce and finished the painting from photos. Here's one of the photos:



These heirloom tomatoes nearly became antiques.

  1. I like the little bit of basket peeking from behind. They have a pumpkin quality to them. But that glorious color screams TOMATO! I like it!

  5. Thanks for the flattering assumption but I absolutely cannot take credit for growing those luscious babes. They were spotted on a suburban roadway by old eagle eye Big D who purchased them from the Russian woman who had grown them herself. I wish he had bought more. They made exquisite sauce!
